  1. This site is for anyone who wants to share a tory or comment about the positive experiences during the Covid pandemic.
For many there have been extraordinary and ordinary things that have occurred. Sharing these events elevate all of our consciousness to a higher level in a time that could be a “downer”. I would like to chare a stiry about a yung man who was unjustly sent to prison for 30 years. He is now almost 50 and just released because a group of law students went to bat for him. He has a talk on Ted Talks called Life in a Container that I would recommend everyone read as it highlights the beauty of the human spirit even in tough situations. Taylor is special – his mother is my soul daughter and I am blest to have them in my life. He exudes the essence of Spirit even when times are challenging.

    1. You are so cool! I don’t suppose I have read a single thing like this before. So wonderful to discover someone with some genuine thoughts on this subject. Seriously.. thanks for starting this up. This site is something that is required on the web, someone with a little originality!

      1. The concept was thought of by a dear friend who is not particularly computer savvy and I am doinhg this blog as a favor to her.

  2. Hi there it’s me, I am also visiting this web page on a regular
basis, this web site is actually nice and the viewers are truly sharing nice thoughts.

  3. I just came out of 5 days of quarantine after having tested positive for COVID. No idea where I picked it up as I am almost obsessive-compulsive about distancing and wearing a mask. I had been traveling but had been home for 3 weeks and tested negative three days after returning from Colorado.
I actually have enjoyed the down time as it has given me more time for quiet and reflection and also taught me that it is good to reach out to others for help. Everyone has been wonderful about helping me during my week of isolation. Times like this make me cognizant of how isolation can be positive and also grateful for technology like ZOOM.

  4. Thanks, Pat. Glad Eileen goaded you into doing this; it may be great fun to hear/read the sharing. Personally, I’m not much for writing, movement is preferable but I will try. As a widow of 8 years now, I’ve spent most of this era of COVID traveling in my RV enjoying this amazingly beautiful country of ours, brimming with the glory of Sophia!!
Peace ✌🏽 to each of you from a “non-singer” at the 86th “Old Fiddlers Convention” in Galax, VA.

  5. Hello Pat: Glad you have recovered from covid. I spent most of the pandemic working at the Police & Fire Clinic here in DC. Very grateful I did not catch covid but empathized with many of the people with who were my clients and who faced the worst of the health problems interacting with the poor and the sick in the city. One paramedic elected to do her sessions via phone as she did not want to infect me! Saw several who were recovering from covid – and some very unfortunate people who developed long covid – ultimately derailed several careers.

Personally grateful that my husband’s health was good during these years – he drove me to work every day and met me as I walked home in the evening. His supportive presence meant a great deal to me during those tough years.

    1. ME – was so good to see you and Joe at the reunion. Pray your holidays are beautiful and filled with joy and love.

  6. during the pandemic I was very impressed to read about actions that many people were taking to reach out to others in need. I wanted to create a space where we might raise our group consciousness to do whatever we could to bring these actions, understandings into our world post the pandemic. Thus,www.MidwivesofRebirth.org. Indeed help to hook up my garden hose. Ii couldn’t find a neighbor that I knew. I decided to go beyond the boundary that I had set for myself and asked a neighbor who was new to the community. He very willingly helped me.Then he told me details about his life.He said that “God has been good to me and, now, I want to help others.” Breaking with my own patterns, Told him some details about my life. The result: A deeper, more authentic human connection. Eileen Wrenn, Port Jefferson Station, NY.

  7. I was very impressed with the statements and actions of so many persons during the pandemic. I wanted to enlist persons who might identify what actions would be essential to have in our world after the pandemic. I invite everyone to be a Midwife of Rebirth.I. I needed help to hook up my garden hose.I couldn’t find a neighbor that I knew.I decided to go beyond that boundary that I had set for myself.I asked a neighbor, new to the c0mmunity,that I did not know.He very willingly helped me.Then he told me details about his life.He said that “God has been good to me” and “now want to help others”. Breaking with my own patterns,I told him some details about my life. The result: A deeper, more authentic human connection.

    1. Eileen – seems like everyday I find a new person that has great stories abut the good they have experience during these trying times. More good than negative.

  8. COVID has impacted many lives. For many it has been a time of stress and learning how to relate to that stress and use t for good. For others it has been a a great time for growth and to revaluate the important things in ones life. I continue to watch young families in my very Navy neighborhood who have gotten in the habit of walking with the kids and 4 -leggeds and who “talk” with one another. It is a joy to observe.

    1. Pat: I just entered a poem at the request of Eileen Wrenn that was composed by Ann Whitty Sheldon – I thought I fill out everything but did not see it post. Please advise.

  9. Prior to her death in September 2022 Ann Whitty Sheldon wrote a poem relating to covid and resiliency in the face of it. Eileen Wrenn asked me to type it in so that all the Midwives of Rebirth could enjoy it and remember Ann – who is now a wise and shining Light in the firmament of Heaven. As we prepare to celebrate Epiphany – let us look to her Star and remember her with love.

    Like a fog
    that hides the sun
    this pandemic has
    frightfully come–
    bringing not darkness
    but “proximity fear”
    disrupting our lives
    as it spread everywhere;
no escape from its clasp –
    its pincers hold tight
    surrounding us always
    from morning to night.

    MASKED FACES
    GLOVED HANDS
    SIX FEET APART

    Though somewhat diminished
    as time has moved on
    our future is shaded,
    tainted in fear
    always a threat
    it’s always so near.

    Still
    life has its way
    of responding to need
    a vaccine is coming
    yes it is, yes indeed
    this time will be history
    we’ll walk safe again
    hand shaking, arms enfolding
    strong and healthy within.

    Thus
    learning life’s lesson
    from all we’ve been through
    each moment is special
    each day-God’s GIFT to you
    LIVE IT WELL
    GUARD IT TRUE.

  10. I havetravelled extensively rhe past 12 months. Has neen interestimg to observe the wide protection people use allmove4 the world as the pandemic subsrdes.

  11. I continue to observe persons who are wearing masks for protection. Many have compromised immune systems and want to be out and about and therefore are taking precautions. Makes sense. When I was in Asia, it was commonplace for people to wear masks because of the pollution.

  12. Looks like we are heading into another bout of Covid. I was able to get an appointment for my third booster shot but not until 1st week of November. I am being cautious but not obbssesive when out and about. I am seeing a llot more persons wearing masks again.
Please stay well and healthy as we move into the winter months. I am home until March when I am scheduled to go to Egypt on a sacred journey with Pmy church – the Center for Spiritual Living – Seattle and Rev. Dr. Kathianne Lewis. Trip mis insured in the event that the war in that area accelerates.
